Passementerie

"Passementerie" is the French word for trimmings which have been used in many forms for thousands of years. The use of decorative trim is one of the most effective ways of adding instant interest to what might otherwise have been a plain shade.

Pictured are a large pair of black silk shades, lined with Japanese Obi silk and finished with a Robert Allen silk trim. The trim pulls together the colours of both the outside shell and the lining, providing for a most striking effect!
